The Judging criteria for the 2011 Awards for Environmental Excellence are as follows:
The project or product entered must meet the primary criteria, all of which are given equal ranking, it should also perform strongly in the secondary criteria.
Primary criteria
- Innovation – How does the entry go beyond existing good practice or competitive products on the market?
- Efficiency (projects) – Does the final project offer good value for time, money and effort?
- Technology (products) – Has the technology used in the product been proven?
- Delivery – Was the entry delivered on time, to plan and on budget?
- Results – Can you demonstrate the entry achieved the results you expected - did it fall short in any areas or did it exceed expectations?
Secondary criteria
- Openness – Are the details of the entry available within the public domain? If so how can they be accessed?
- Cultural Change – How is the entry leading changes inside and outside of your organisation? Has it had a significant impact on the culture of your target audience?
- Planning – What sort of research and development was carried out before the entry was undertaken?
